Die Gitarristin Carina Alfie hat schon seit 1988 verschiedene Mädchenbands gegründet. Nach ANGEL; HEROINAS; PAYSANA (mit 2 Songs auf dem "Lo mejor del under" Sampler), hat sie seit vielen Jahren die LUNATYCAS. Mit denen bringt sie bald ein Album heraus. Sie ist aber als Solistin noch viel bekannter, und gibt Gitarren Stunden für den Metal Nachwuchs. Sie tritt auch oft Solo auf, und beeindruckt mit Instrumental Gitarren Hardrock a la STEVE VAI. Ihr Instrumental Gitarren Metal geht flüssig in`s Ohr, und ist nie langweilig, wie bei vielen Gitarrenhelden. Wenn man der kleinen Gitarristin begegnet, glaubt man nicht, was sie alles mit ihrer Gitarre zaubern kann, und viele Leute stehen erstaunt da. Selbst ihr Vorbild VAI sieht das wohl auch so und spielte mit ihr zusammen, als er in Argentinien auf Tour war, und sie nahm ihr neues Album in seinem Studio auf. Sie spielte auch mit Drummerin Linda Mac Donald von PHANTOM BLUE einen Track für einen Jason Becker Tribute ein. Ihre Werke Anno 2003 und 2004 ist wieder zauberhafte Gitarrenalben!! Ich ziehe diesen ganzen langweiligen international bekannten Gitarrenhelden diese kleine Zauberin vor!! Wenn es noch so etwas wie Gerechtigkeit gibt, dann bekommt sie hoffentlich bald mehr internationale Bekanntheit und Anerkennung.
2005 spielte sie einige Shows in Spanien und Puerto Rico, und brachte ihr Album "Intuicion" heraus. Die Hälfte der Songs ist nun mit Gesang, für welchen Monica Rodriguez zuständig ist. Das macht einen grossen Unterschied zu den andern Alben, und bereichert ihre Musik, neben ihrem schönen Spiel. Ich schätze aber dadurch hat sich das Thema LUNATYCAS erledigt, da sie sicher nicht 2 Bands mit Gesang braucht.

This is the solo project of the very talented female guitar player Carina Alfie. She had since 1988 different All Girl bands like ANGEL; HEROINAS, PAYSANA (2 songs at "Lo mejor del under" compilation), and till today LUNATYCAS who play straight Metal, and have no album out yet, but the first is already recorded. She is well known in Argentina, and gives also classes and trains the new Metal generation. Since 1996 she records solo albums and celebrates nice instrumental guitar Hard Rock in the style of Steve Vai. She is also good friends with him, joined him on stage in Buenos Aires, and recorded the new album at his studio. She also recorded a song together with drummer Linda Mc Donald from PHANTOM BLUE for a tribute to Jason Becker album. When this small girl comes on stage, plugs in, starts to play and conjures with her guitar, most people stand there astonished. Her CDs in the years 2003 and 2004 are again enchanting guitar albums! For me as an non guitar expert, I prefere her music much more than most of the internationally known guitar heroes! If there is some kind of justice in the music business she gets hopefully more international recognition in the future.
In 2005 she played concerts in Spain and Puerto Rico, and released the album "Intuicion". Half of the songs have lyrics sung by Monica Rodriguez, which make this album different. It is even nicer to hear her great play with some vocals. I guess this means the end of LUNATYCAS, as she does not need another band with vocals.

Este es el proyecto de una talentosa chica guitarrista llamada CARINA ALFIE, ella ha tenido desde 1988, muchos grupos de chicas como, ANGEL, HEROINAS, PAYSANA(con dos canciones en compilacion "Lo mejor del under") y hasta ahora, LUNATYCAS, que tocan un Metal directo, y todavia no han sacado un disco, pero esta grabado ya el primero. Ella es muy reconocida en Argentina, e incluso ofrece clases a la nueva generacion. Desde el 1996, graba discos solistas de Hard Rock en el estilo de STEVE VAI, incluso esta es amiga de el guitarrista, y tocaron juntos en Buenos Aires, y grabo su nuevo album en el estudio de este. Tambien grabo una cancion para un tributo a JASON BECKER, con la baterista de PHANTOM BLUE, Linda McDonald. Cuando esta pequena chica pisa la tarima mucha gente se queda atonita! Su nuevo CDs en 2003 y 2004 son otra vez maravillosas albums de guitarra! Espero que esta hechicera tenga mas conocimiento internacional en el futuro.
