2001 Obertura CD

KRISTINE ist sicher die ungewöhnlichste Band, die ich je beschrieben habe! Sie spielen extrem progressives Material! Einerseits haben sie diesen neoklassischen, theatralischen Stil, zu dem sie richtige Geschichten in mehreren Teilen, über Könige, Joker, den Tod und anderes erzählen, und darin haben sie dann totale Frickelpassagen, wie extreme Prog Bands! Sie führen ihre Geschichten wenn möglich mit voller Kostümierung auf, spielen aber auch in ganz normalen Klamotten. Wenn sie die Möglichkeit hätten würden sie mit riesiger wechselnder Bühnendekoration auftreten, doch bei der wirtschaftlichen Lage wird das wohl ein Traum bleiben!
Die Band wurde 1999 von Sänger Carlos de Tirro, der von LITHUAN kam, zusammen mit anderen erfahrenen Musikern gegründet. Gitarrist Santiago Diaz Garces spielte vorher in Bands wie EVIADOR und AURA. Sie spielen meist in ihrer Heimatstadt Buenos Aires traten aber auch schon in Bahia Blanca und sogar Posadas, in der nördlichen Provinz Missiones auf. 2002 wurden Drummer und Bassist gewechselt. Ein zweites Album wird gerade aufgenommen. Mit ihrer anspruchsvollen Musik und ihren Plänen haben sie es sicher nicht einfach in Argentinien! Aber auch ausserhalb des Landes dürften sich nur sehr aufgeschlosene Leute für ihre Musik interessieren!

KRISTINE is sure the most unusual band, that I have ever written about! They play extreme progressive material! First they have this neoclassical, theatrical style, where they tell stories in several parts about kings, jokers, the death and others, and then they have this extreme progressive guitar passages inside the stories! When possible they perform with full decoration and costumes, but play also normal stage shows. If they would have the posibilities, they dream of big and movable stage decorations, but with the economical problems in the country this will stay a dream I think!
The band ws founded in 1999 from singer Carlos de Tirro, who came from the band LITHUAN, together with other experienced musicians. Guitar player Santiago Diaz Garces played before with EVIADOR and AURA. They play mainly in their hometown Buenos Aires but performed also in Bahia Blanca and in Posadas in the far north province Misiones! In 2002 they changed the drummer and bass player. A new album is recorded now. With their demanding music it is sue not easy for them in Argentina! But also outside of the country only very open minded listeners will be interested, I guess!
