Die Gitarristen Charly Guillen und Yankee, Bassist Pablo Alvarez, und Drummer Miguel Pratto gründeten die Band unter dem Namen LEGION. Nach 2 anderen Sängern steigt Tito Garcia ein. Sie frönen zuerst dem guten alten Power Metal. Ihr erstes Album 1990 erscheint zwar nur als Kassette (erst 1998 zusammen mit der "Warriors" Wiederveröffentlichung auf CD), wird aber immerhin sogar in Mexiko lizensiert und gelangte manchmal zu uns. Die Band hatte wohl als einzige argentinische internationale Ambitionen, denn die Hälfte der Texte ist in englisch. Das zweite Album "Warriors" ist sogar ganz in englisch, (was völlig ungewöhnlich ist) und einige Exemplare tauchten auch hier auf. Die dritte CD "Maza" wird anders, kein straighter Power Metal, sondern etwas moderner. Danach verläßt Gitarrist Guillin die Band (und stirbt später an AIDS). Man beläßt es bei einem Gitarristen und die Jungs werden immer tätowierter, die Haare fallen (bei Sänger und Gitarrist) und der Stil wird total modern, fast schon in den Hardcore Bereich. Live waren sie meine absolute Enttäuschung, da ich die letzte CD "Efecto Tequila" (benannt nach dem wirtschaftlichen Crash 1994 in Mexico) nicht kannte. Die alten Metal Stücke wurden nicht gebracht, und der Sänger verharrte die ganze Zeit in seiner 'Hardcore Pose'. Nur der Bassist fiel auf, der Mann ist Spitze, verschwendet aber sein Talent mit so einem Stil. Eigentlich sind auf der CD auch nur drei neue Stücke, der Rest ist vom 1. und 2. Album, weshalb sie zu ertragen ist, aber die Frage aufwirft, ob man sie sich anschaffen soll. Die spätere CD ist nur noch Trendgrütze.
Es war dann eine ganze Weile ruhig um die Band, und sie hatten sich wohl mehr oder weniger aufgelöst. Im Jahre 2004 gab es dann ein Reunions Konzert, bei dem gleichzeitig eine Live CD aufgenommen werden sollte! Sie redeten auch etwas von traditionellem Stil! Lassen wir uns mal überraschen!

The guitarists Charly Guillen and Yankee, bass player Pablo Alvarez, and drummer Miguel Pratto founded the band under the name LEGION. After 2 other singers Tito Garcia joined. First they were fond of the good old Power Metal. The first album was sold only as cassette (only 1998 released on CD together with the "Warriors" re release), but spread the name very wide. It was even licensed in Mexico and shipped to Northamerica and Europe. They sure had international ambitions, as half of the lyrics were in English. The second album then was, very unusual, completely in English, and some copys found their way overseas. At the third album the style got more modern. After that the guitar player Guillin left the band (and later died from AIDS). They afterwards stay with one Guitar, cut their hair, got more and more tattoos, and the style got more agressive, almost Hardcore. The album "Efecto Tequila", had only 3 new songs in this style, and the rest is from the first releases. They made one more CD, but are today no Metal anymore! Live they were a real disappointment, as they act fully like a Hardcore band and don't play old songs. Only the bass player Walker is really high class, but wastes his talent in this band.
It was quiet for a while around the band, and it seems they split completely. But in the year 2004 the band announced a reunion concert, with the recording of an official live CD! They talk also about traditional style! .....but lets wait and see!

Los guitaristas Charly Guillen y Yankee, bajista Pablo Alvarez y baterista Miguel Pratto fundaron la banda bajo el nombre de LEGION. Despues 2 otros cantantes Tito Garcia entre la banda. Primero se fueron amigables con el viejo Power Metal. Su 1er album fue vendido solo en cassette (solo en 1998 lanzaron en CD junto a “Warriors” re-relanzado), Pero desparramaron el nombre muy poco. Estaba licenciado hasta en México y viajó a Norteamérica y Europa. Seguro que tenian ambiciones internacionales, ya que la mitad de sus letras eran en inglés. El 2do disco fue muy inusual, completamente en inglés y algunas copias encontraron su camino mas alla de las aguas. El 3er album, su estilo, se modernizo. Luego de eso el guitarrista Guillin dejó la banda (mas tarde murió de SIDA). Después de eso se quedaron con una sola guitarra, se cortaron el pelo y se hicieron muchos mas tatuajes, su estilo se hizo mas agresivo, casi Hardcore. El disco “Efecto tequila” tiene solo 3 canciones en este nuevo estilo y el resto es de su 1er lanzamientos. Hicieron uno CD mas pero no fueron mas Metal! En vivo eran una gran decepción, ya que actuaban por lleno como una banda Hardcore y no tocaban temas viejos. Sólo el bajista Walker es realmente de clase alta, pero desperdicia su talento en esta banda!
Se separon por un tiempo, pero en 2004 fue un recital de reunion con grabacion por un CD en vivo!
