Der Name der Band sagt schon, welche Art von Musik man von ihnen erwarten kann! Der alte Stil von HELLHAMMER und der alten 80er Death / Thrash Bands wird zu einem rauen, schmutzigen Gebräu vermischt, und findet unter den Anhängern dieser alten Zeiten seine Anhänger! Der Chef der Band Leon Mansur (genannt Necromaniac), Sänger und Gitarrist, war schon aktiv als diese Art der Musik auf ihrem Höhepunkt war! Er fing 1985 in der Band DEVASTATION (später EXPLICT HATE) an! Er probierte viele Jahre seine eigene Band aufzustellen, aber erst 1993 konnte er mit NIGHTBREED starten. Das Line up wechselte, bis 1997 Drummer Adramaleck von der Band NOCTURNAL WORSHIPPER einstieg, und 1999 Sub Umbra von ANCIENT SIGN GLORIFY den Bass übernahm! Im selben Jahr nahmen sie das erste Demo auf, und ein Jahr später das erste Album. Es wurde 2001 unter dem neuen namen APOCALYPTIC RAIDS veröffentlicht! Zur selben Zeit stieg der neue Drummer Skullcrusher ein, und im Jahre 2003 konnte das neue Album herausgebracht werden. Die Split Single enthält einen Song vom 1999er Demo. The name of the band tells you already, what kind of music you can expect! The old style of HELLHAMMER, and the old 80s brazilian Death / Thrash bands is mixed to a raw and dirty brew, which appeals to the lovers of this old times! The leader Leon Mansur (called Necromaniac), singer and bass player, was already active when this kind of music was at its peak! He started to play 1985 in the band DEVASTATION (which later became EXPLICT HATE). He tried to form his own band, but only in 1993 he could start with NIGHTBREED. The line up changed, till in 1997 drummer Adrameleck from the band NOCTURNAL WORSHIPPER joined, and in 1999 Sub Umbra from ANCIENT SIGN GLORIFY took the job on bass! In the same year the first demo was recorded, and in 2000 the first album. It was released in 2001, under the new name APOCALYPTIC RAIDS! O nome da banda já entrega o tipo de música que você pode esperar! O velho estilo do HELLHAMMER e o velho Death/ Thrash brasileiro dos anos 80 misturados com uma infusão crua e suja, cuja agrada os amantes dos velhos tempos! O líder Leon Mansur (chamado Necromaniac), vocalista e baixista, já estava na ativa quando este estilo de música estava no topo. Ele começou a tocar em 1985 na banda DEVASTATION (que depois se tornou EXPLICT HATE). Ele tentou formar sua própria banda, mas apenas em 1993 ele pôde começar com o seu NIGHTBREED. A formação mudou, em 1997 o baterista Adrameleck da banda NOCTURNAL WORSHIPPER juntou-se à banda, em 1999 Sub Umbra da banda ANCIENT SIGN GLORIFY assumiu os baixos! No mesmo ano a primeira demo tape foi gravada e em 2000 o primeiro álbum foi gravado em 2001 lançado, já com o nome APOCALYPTIC RAIDS. Na mesma época o novo baterista Skullcrusher se juntou à banda e , finalmente, em 2003 um novo álbum foi lançado. O single contém uma música da demo de 1999.
