Puren Metal aus Rio de Janeiro zelebrierten diese Jungs. Gitarrist Marcos Dantes und Basser Vinicius Mathias gründeten ihre Band 1981. Auf den seltsamen Namen "Blaue Zitrone" kamen sie durch einem Cartoon von "Hägar dem Schrecklichen"!! Zu dieser Zeit gab es in Rio kaum andere Musiker, die Metal Musik kannten, und so haben sie erst 1983 ein festes Line up. Aber dann legen sie kräftig los. Sie bekommen Radio Airplay, spielen viel Live, und bis 1984 machen sie 3 Demos, und 1984 wird ein Single "Sata Clama Metal" angekündigt, Der Song wurde auch für ein Label aufgenommen, ist aber nie erschienen ist, weil das Label noch nie so einen heavy Sound gehört hatte, und kalte Füsse bekam! Ihre LP 1986 ist die erste Veröffentlichung des "Heavy" Labels in Rio. Sie hat dann ein super Fantasy Cover, und beglückt uns mit gutem, abwechslungsreichen Metal. Es folgen gute Kritiken sogar im "Kerrang" und "Metal Hammer" (da ist wohl der englische gemeint, denn bei uns liess sich doch kein Magazin dazu herab!). Schon ein Jahr später folgte die zweite LP auf einem anderen Label eines Platten Shops, und führt die gute Linie fort! Aber nur mit der Musik, denn das Cover sieht Scheisse aus. Leider folgte dem keine weitere Glanztat. Die ganze Szene ändert sich, wird aggressiver, und singt in Englisch, so verlieren sie ihre Anhänger! 1989 steigt Sänger Rodrigo Esteves aus, und Basser Vinicius folgt ihm! Marcos sammelt dann noch einmal einige Leute um sich, Drummer Andre Chamon von STRESS, und Sänger und Gitarrist von METALMORFOSE! Mit diesem Line up werden nur noch 3 Konzerte gemacht, und 2 Songs aufgenommen, bevor die Band Ende 1989 endgültig aufgelöst wird! Marcos und Andre gründeten dannach X-RATED! Der Sänger ist schon seit 10 Jahren als Opernsänger in Spanien aktiv!! Zweimal, 1993 und 1995, als er wieder in Rio war werden einzelne Reunionsshows gemacht! Die Jungs und ihre Fans hatten dabei eine gute Zeit, aber weitere Pläne hatten sie nicht mit der Band! Erst im Jahre 2000 interessiert sich der Macher des neuen Labels "Dies Irae" für die Band! Er re released die 2 Alben in farbigem Vinyl, und die "Ordem Y Progresso" mit 5 Bonus Titeln (vom Demo 1984)! Ausserdem veröffentlicht er 2 weitere LPs, "Pegasus", mit den 3 Demos von 1983 und den 2 Songs vom letzten Line up 1989, und "Amazonia", mit Live Sachen, und anderen Aufnahme Versionen. Die Sound Qualität dieser beiden LPs ist nicht sehr gut, und nur für echte Fans! Die 4 LPs vom "Dies Irae" Label haben alle 4 Seiten Inserts, voller Fotos, und sie sind wie eine 4 teilige detaillierte Band History!

These guys from Rio de Janeiro celebrated pure Heavy Metal. Guitar player Marcos Dantes and bass player Vinicius Mathias founded the band in 1981. They used the strange band name from an cartoon from Hagar the Horrible! At this time there were almost no musicians who knew Metal music, and only in 1983 they found a steady line-up and after that they started through. They got radio airplay, played a lot live, and until 1984 they recorded 3 demos. In 1984 there was planned to release a 7" single called "Sata Clama Metal", but after the recording, the company dropped the plan, as they had never herd such heavy sound, and were afraid to get no airplay. Their LP in 1986 is the first release of the "Heavy" label in Rio. It has a super fantasy cover and surprises us with great and diverse Metal. This is followed by good reviews in "Kerrang" and "Metal Hammer". Already one year later follows the second album, on another shop owners label, which steps in the same good track, but only music-wise, as the cover is really shitty. Sadly, this was their last release. The whole scene was changing the music became more aggressive, and sang in English, so they lost a lot of followers! In 1989 singer Rodrigo Esteves left the band, and bass player Vinicius was following him! Marcos gathered some other people, drummer Andre Chamon from STRESS and the singer and guitar player from METALMORFOSE! But with this line up they only made 3 more concerts, before the band disbanded finally in the end of 1989! Marcos and Andre founded later X-RATED! The singer is since then opera singer in Spain!! Two times, when he was back in his hometown they made reunion shown (1993 and 1995)! But this was only for fun, and they and the fans had a good time, but they did not have any further plans! Only in the year 2000 the owner of the new "Dies Irae" label got interested in the band! He re released the 2 albums in coloured vinyl, and the "Ordem Y Progresso" has 5 bonus tracks (from the 1984 demo)! He also released 2 more LPs: "Pegasus", with the 3 demos from 1983, and the 2 songs which were recorded with the last line up in 1989, and "Amazonia", with live tracks and different versions recordings! The sound quality of this 2 records is not very good, and only for real fans! The 4 albums from the "Dies Irae" label have all 4 pages inserts, many photos and are like a very detailled 4 page band history!

Estes caras do Rio de Janeiro celebravam o mais puro Heavy Metal. O guitarrista Marcos Dantes e o baixista Vinicius Mathias fundaram a banda em 1981. Apenas em 1983 eles fixaram a formacao e puderam iniciar. Ate 1984, eles tinham gravado tres demos, e para o ano estava programado o lancamento de um compacto chamado "Sata Clama Metal" que, aparentemente, nunca foi feito. Seu LP de 1986 foi o primeiro lancamento do selo "Heavy" do Rio, com uma capa fantasiosa e um surpreendentemente bom Metal. Se seguiu de boas criticas na "Kerrang" e "Metal Hammer". O ano passa, e o segundo album aparece com o mesmo tipo de boa musica, mas com uma capa horrivel. Infelizmente, esse fora o seu ultimo lancamento. Mas a banda ainda existiu por muitos anos, sempre mudando a formacao. Aos fins dos anos oitenta, nao havia sobrido nehum membro original, somente um baixista das outras formacoes. Ele tocou junto a um dos guitarristas do METALMORPHOSE e ao baterista do STRESS. Pouco depois a banda acabou. Na capital do metal, Sao Paulo, talvez tivessem mais chances. O vocalista canta Opera ha mais dez naos na Espanha. Ja o guitarrista Marcos se juntou mais tarde ao X-RATED.
