Die Schakale gründeten sich 1985, um mit heftigem, wildem Thrash herumzuholzen. Nach einem
Demo landeten sie auf dem ersten "Warfare Noise" Sampler des neuen Labels "Cogumelo". Hier
kamen auch alle ihre weiteren Scheiben heraus. Die ersteren boten noch traditionellen wilden
Thrash mit extremen Vocals, wovon einige Tracks den geneigten Fan solcher Klänge zu gefallen
wissen. Auf der letzten waren sie dann noch einen Zacken extremer und moderner. Zwischen der ersten und zweiten
Lp kam noch eine Single mit ansonsten unveröffentlichten Songs und witzig kultigem Cover heraus.
Dies ist so weit ich weiss die einzige
Single auf diesem Label.Obwohl sie
auf allen LPs einen anderen Vocalisten haben, merkt man kaum einen Unterschied.
Seit 2001 sitzen die Jungs wieder zusammen, inclusive dem ersten Sänger Vladimir Korg. Sie fingen gleich
wieder an zu schreiben, und im Jahre 2003 erschien dann nach 10 jähriger Pause wieder ein CHAKAL
Album! Der Stil ist aber etwas anders, nicht mehr ganz so brutal. Das ganze ist wie ein
"Zombie Konzept Album"! Texte und Outfit sind voll auf Zombie eingestellt, ich weiss aber nicht ob sich
die Jungs nur für die Promofotos zurechtmachen lassen haben, oder ob sie auch Live so auftreten!?
Die Musik ist ziemlich progressiv ausgefallen und erinnert desöfteren an VOI VOD! Im selben Jahr erschien
auch die Wiederveröffentlichung des ersten Albums auf CD, die genialerweise mit den 2 Tracks der
"Living with the pigs" Single angereichert wurde!
Es gab im Süden noch eine andere Band, die sich CHACAL nannte und ein Hard Rock Album mit dem Titel
"Lenda" herausbrachten.

The jackals founded their band in 1985 and started to play rough and wild Thrash. After
recording a demo they could place one song on the "Warfare noise" compilation from the
new label "Cogumelo". This company also release their following albums.
The first delivered
traditional wild Thrash with the extreme vocals of Vladimir Korg (who later joined THE MIST).
Fans of this kind of music will like at least some of the tracks from the first albums. On
the last album they became more extreme and modern.
Between the first and second album they released a 7" single with a real funny cover. This is, as far as I know,
the only single release from this label.
They had a different singer on each LP,
but you can not recognize a lot of difference between them.
Since 2001 the guys are together again, including first singer Vladi Korg! They started imnmediatly to
compose new songs, and finally after 10 years there is a new CHAKAL album! The style is different, not so
brutal anymore! The whole thing is like a "Zombie concept album"! Texts and Outfit are all about
Zombies, and I wonder if the guys were just made into the undead for the promo photos, or if they play
like this live!? The music is quite progressive and reminds sometime of VOI VOD! In the same year a CD
release of the first album was made, with the 2 tracks of the "Living with the pigs" single as
bonus!
There was another band called
CHACAL, which released the album "Lenda", but this band played Hard Rock.

Os Chacais fundaram sua banda em 1985 e comecaram tocando um Thrash cru e selvagem. Apos gravarem uma demo,
eles conseguiram incluir uma faixa na compilacao "Warfare Noise" da "Cogumelo". Esse selo tambem lancou os
futuros albums da banda.
Originalmente, eles tocavam um Thrash violento, com os vocais de Vladimir Korg (que mais tarde se juntou ao
THE MIST). Os fans desse estilo de musica vao gostar de, pelo menos, algumas faixas dos primeiros albums.
No ultimo lancamento, a musica se tornou mais moderna e radical. Entre o primeiro e o segundo album, eles
lancaram um compacto com uma capa muito bem humorada. Este e, ate onde eu saiba, o unico compacto lancado
pelo "Cogumelo". A banda tinha um vocalista diferente em cada lancamento, mas nao se percebe muita diferenca
entre eles. Em 2001 se juntaram de novo, incluindo o vocalista original Vladi Korg!

Existiu uma outra banda chamada CHACAL, que tinha um album chamado "Lenda", mas essa tocava Hard Rock.
