Der Name EXXOTICA passt sicher absolut zu diesen Jungs! Sie fallen ganz bestimmt auch in der riesigen Szene ihrer Heimatstadt Sao Paulo auf! Sie haben schon seit etlichen Jahren eine KISS Cover Band die DR. LOVE heisst. Im Jahre 2000 hatten sie sich überlegt, dass man auch eine eigene Band mit dem Konzept machen kann! Also dachten sie sich andere auffällige Masken und Outfits aus, und schrieben eigene Party Songs in portugiesisch. Sie spielen normalen einfachen Hard Rock im alten Stil, der von KISS, ALICE COOPER, THE SWEET und anderen beeinflusst ist. Musikalisch ist das auf CD nicht sehr aufregend, aber Live könnte ich mir das toll vorstellen! Ihre Ausgabepolitik ist aber etwas seltsam!! Sie haben ihre zweite volle CD unter dem Tital "Capitulo II" herausgebracht, aber die habe ich nur in einer total seltsamen Verpackung gefunden, ...in eine 7" Single Hülle! Alles schön und gut, sieht ja auch schöner aus, so ein grösseres Artwork, aber .... die CD ist eine total hässliche nackte CD-R, lieblos in die grosse Hülle geschmissen! Ob es noch eine reguläre CD Version gibt, keine Ahnung! Dann haben sie auch nochmal das erste Album in der selben Art 2004 herausgebracht, mit 2 Live Songs Bonus. Dannache kam die Doppel DVD, und da kann man sehen, dass sie sich mit der Live Show viel Mühe geben, und einiges für das Auge bieten! Seit dem zweiten Album haben sie auch einen zweiten Gitarristen.

The name EXXOTICA sure fits very much to this guys! They will be recognized even in the very big scene of their home town Sao Paulo! They have since some years their own KISS cover band called DR. LOVE. In the year 2000 they thought that they can do the same thing at their own! So they develloped own masks and outfits, and wrote own party songs in portuguese! They play normal and simple old style Hard Rock, which is influenced by KISS, ALICE COOPER, THE SWEET and others. Music wise this CD is not very exciting, but I can imagine that a live show must be an great thing!
But their release politics are a bit strange!! The second album, called "Capitulo II" I found only in a strange 7" EP cover. This idea is not too bad, as it always looks nicer to have a bigger cover art, ....but they threw in it only a total ugly, naked CD-R! If there is a regular CD release too, I have no idea! They made the first album again in 2004, with the same strange cover and CD-R, with 2 live songs bonus. Later came a double DVD, and here you can see that they have an interesting live show, and do something for the eye too! Since the second album they have a second guitar player.

O nome EXXOTICA se encaixa perfeitamente a estes rapazes. Eles seriam reconhecidos mesmo na grande cena paulista. Já possuiam há algum tempo uma banda cover do KISS chamada Dr. LOVE. No ano de 2000 acharam que poderiam ter uma banda com material próprio. Eles fazem um Hard Rock simples, influenciado por KISS, ALICE COOPER, THE SWEET, etc. Musicalmente este CD não e muito interessante, mas imagino que um show ao vivo deve ser fabuloso.
A divulgação deles é um pouco estranha! O segundo álbum chamado "Capíitulo II" , eu só encontrei em versão 7". Esta não é uma idéia ruim, já que é sempre legal ter uma capa maior, mas eles lançaram este em um CD-R com uma capa bem feinha! Se há algum outro CD lançado, não tenho a menor idéia. Eles lançaram o primeiro álbum novamente em 2004 com a mesma capa estranha e em CD-R, com duas músicas bônus. Mais tarde lançaram um DVD duplo e aqui dá pra perceber que eles fazem um show bem interessante! Desde o segundo álbum eles têm um segundo guitarrista acompanhando a banda.
