2001 Vicarius Filii Dei CD

NECATOR sind aus Limeira in der Provinz Sao Paulo. Als ich zum ersten Mal das Cover sah, hielt ich sie für eine Band aus Rio, da sie das bekannte Wahrzeichen der Christusstatue von dort verwenden! Aber entweder sie benutzten das Motiv des zerbröselnden Christus, und dem brennenden Rio im Hintergrund, um ihre textliche antichristliche Aussage zu unterstützen, oder um den in Sao Paulo nicht gerade beliebten Leuten in Rio eins auszuwischen! Die Band wurde 1990 gegründet, und die Jungs fanden ihren Bandnamen in der Schule im Biologie Unterricht! Ein Parasit mit dem Namen "Necator Americanus" brachte sie auf die Idee, bedeutet Necator doch Mörder in lateinisch! Die Band hatte sehr viele Wechsel, und bis zum Jahre 2002 so 13 verschiedene Line Ups! Ihr Album dann erschien als Eigenpressung, und scheint nicht sehr viel Verbreitung gefunden zu haben! Das ist schade, da sie sehr guten einfachen und traditionellen Metal machen! Nur der Sänger ist manchmal etwas schräg! Da die Homepage nicht mehr funktioniert, und man auch sonst von ihnen nichts mehr hört, befürchte ich, dass es sie nicht mehr gibt!?

NECATOR are from Limeira in the provinz of Sao Paulo. When I saw the cover for the first time, I guessed they are from Rio, as they use the known Christus statue for the cover! But either they use this motive of the crumbling statue and burning Rio in the background to underline their anti christian message, or they want to tease the in Sao Paulo not very popular people from Rio with this artwork! The band was founded in 1990, and the guys found the name in school in biology, when they herd about the parasite "Necator Americanus", and realized that Necator is the latin word for Assassin! The band had many line up changes, and till the year 2002 around 13 different formations! The album finally in 2001 was an independent production, and did not have a good distribution. This is sad, as they delivered very good and simple traditional Metal! Only the singer sounds sometimes a bit strange. As the homepage does not work anymore, and there are no news about them, I fear they do not exist any longer!?

Necator é de Limeira, interior de São Paulo. Quando eu vi a capa pela primeira vez, achei que eles fossem do Rio, pois usaram o Cristo redentor na capa! Ou eles usam esta imagem da estátua queimando e despedaçada ao fundo para mostrar sua mensagem anticristo ou para sacanear o fato desta arte não ser popular por lá. A banda foi fundada em 1990 e os caras encontraram o nome da banda numa aula de biologia, onde ouviram sobre o parasita "Necator Americanus" e notaram que necator é o nome latino para assassino! A banda teve muitas mudanças de músicos e até 2002 já havia tido 13 diferentes formações! O álbum foi lançado finalmente em 2001 de maneira independente e não teve boa distribuição. Triste porque a banda trazia um Metal simples, porém muito bom! Apenas o vocal soa às vezes um pouco estranho. Como a homepage não funciona mais e não há mais nenhuma novidade. Temo que eles talvez não existam mais!?
