SANTAREM ist eine junge Band aus Sao Paulo. Sie wurden 1998 gegründet. Der Drummer und Gitarrist spielten vorher zusammen in der Band KALAHARI. Im Jahre 2000 nahmen sie dann ihre Eigenproduktion auf, die sie in einem schönen Digipack verpackten! Sie spielen darauf melodischen und progressiven Hard Rock, und erinnern öfter an die späteren FATES WARNING, aber einige Stücken sind mehr progressive Rock Musik! Sie bekomen gute Resonanzen, und das "Die Hard" Label bot ihnen darauf an, auf der "Shakespeare`s Hamlet" Compilation einen Song beizusteuern! Dieser ist wieder mehr im Rock Stil. Auf ihrem Album 2004 spielen sie immer noch progressiven Hard Rock, hören sich aber jetzt kommerzieller und Radio tauglich an!

SANTAREM is a young band from Sao Paulo, which was founded in 1998. The drummer and the guitar player were playing before in the band KALAHARI. In the year 2000 they recorded their independent CD and put it in a nice digipack! It contains melodic and progressive Hard Rock and remind me sometimes of the later FATES WARNING, but some songs are a bit more progressive Rock style! They got some good reviews, so the "Die Hard" label offered them to record one song for the "Shakespeare`s Hamlet" compilation! This song is again more Rock style. At their album 2004 they still play progressive Hard Rock, but sound now more commercial and radio compatible!

SANTAREM é uma jovem banda de São Paulo que foi fundada em 1998. O baterista e o guitarrista já tocaram antes na banada KALAHARI. No ano de 2000 gravaram um cd de forma independente eembalado em um belo digipack! O ábum contém Hard Rock melódico e progressivo e me lembra algumas vezes o antigo FATES WARNING, mas algumas músicas são mais no estilo progressivo! Eles obtiveram boas críticas então a gravadora "Die Hard" ofereceu a eles uma participação com uma música para a coletânea Shakespeare's "Hamlet". Esta música é mais no estilo Rock. No álbum de 2004, eles ainda tocam um Hard Rock progressivo, mas agora parece mais comercial e para tocar em rádios
