Wirklich unglaubliches vollbrachte diese Band. Sie stammen aus Belem im Amazonasgebiet, und schafften es schon 1982 eine LP Eigenpressung herauszubringen, noch lange vor irgendwelchen Bands in den grossen Metropolen. Sie existierten schon seit 1974 unter dem Namen PINGO D AGUA (sie wechselten den Namen in STRESS im Jahre 1977), und 1982 gehen sie nach Rio, um dort ihre LP aufzunehmen. Sie spielen darauf schon richtig rauhen Metal, zwar auch mit ruhigen Passagen und Keyboard, aber auch richtiges Geschepper. Ihre zweite LP dann ist ein Meilenstein an purem Metal in Brasilien, und sollte in keiner Sammlung fehlen. 2 Tracks von der ersten Scheibe werden nochmal besser aufgenommen und verwendet. Diese LP erschien sogar auf "Polydor", scheint aber nicht sehr erfolgreich gewesen zu sein. Dannach verliert sich erstmal ihre Spur, nur Drummer Andre Chamon landet später bei den Hard Rockern X-RATED. Nach 10 Jahren aber erscheint eine obskure billig aufgemachte CD ohne jede Infos. Hier haben sie ihren Ruf aber ganz schön beschädigt, denn an alte Spitzenleistungen reichen sie bei weitem nicht heran. Die erste LP ist heute fast unmöglich zu bekommen. Aber zum Glück wurde es im Jahre 2002 wieder auf LP herausgebracht, mit interessanten Liner notes!

The start of this band is really unbelievable. They came from Belem in the Amazon area, and managed already in 1982 to release an independent album, which was the very first real Metal album in Brazil! This was long before bands in the big cities in the south started. They were already together since 1974 under the name PINGO D AGUA (they cangede the name to STRESS in 1977), and in 1982 they traveled to Rio to record the first LP. This one contains already raw Metal, some parts included keyboards and were softer, but others were really rough. Their second record then was a milestone of pure Metal in Brazil, and should not be missed in any true Metal collection. 2 tracks from the first album were again recorded in better quality. This LP was released by the major company "Polydor", but seems not to have been very successful. After that, their tracks got lost for a long while, only the drummer Andre Chamon appears later with the Hard Rockers X-RATED. But after 10 years there appeared a new album called "III". This was cheaply made and contained no information, and reached by far not the standard of the old songs. The first LP is today almost impossible to find. But it was re released in 2002 on LP!

O começo desta banda foi realmente inacreditável. Eles vieram de Belém na região amazônica e já, em 1982, conseguiram lançar um álbum independente o qual foi realmente o primeiro álbum de Metal no Brasil! Muito antes das bandas das grandes cidades no sul começarem. Eles já estavam juntos desde 1975 sob o nome de PINGO D' ÀGUA e em 1982 viajaram para o Rio a fim de gravar o primeiro LP. Este contém um Metal cru, algumas partes de teclados, algumas discretas e outras bem perseptivas. O segundo álbum foi um marco do Metal puro no Brasil e não deve faltar em nenhuma coleção de Metal. 2 Faixas do primeiro álbum foram regravadas com uma qualidade melhor. este LP foi lançado pela gravadora "Polydor", mas não teve muito sucesso. Depois, as faixas se perderam e somente o baterista, André Chamon, apareceria mais tarde com a banda hard X - RATED. Após 10 anos, apareceu um novo álbum chamado III que não contém nenhuma informação e longe da qualidade dos álbuns anteriores. O original primeiro LP, hoje, é quase impossível de se encontrar (re edicion 2002!).
