2000 Time Perpetuating CD

Dies ist eine sehr inteessante Band aus Balneario Camboriu, ganz im Süden Brasiliens in der Provinz Santa Catarina. Die Brüder Nyva (Vocals), und Alfredo Evaristo (Drums), gründeten die Band 1993. Ihre Stadt ist weit weg vom Schuss in Brasilien, und statt eine Band mehr zu sein, die nach Sao Paulo will, fuhren sie lieber 1994 nach Buenos Aires in Argentinien, um zu spielen, und Kontakte zu knüpfen. Sie blieben ein halbes Jahr, und machten ihren Namen dort recht bekannt! Sie hatten aber einige Probleme mit dem Line up, und nahmen erst 1997 ihr erstes Demo auf, welches schon ihen eigenen Stil enthält: powervollen Metal, progressive Parts, kraftvolle und dunkle Stimme, und auch thrashige Parts! Das hört sich seltsam an, ergibt aber einen interessanten Mix! Durch ihre Kontakte nach Argentinien hatten sie die Idee ein kleines Festival zu starten, dass sie "Merco Rock" nannten (nach "Merco Sul", dem EG ähnlichen Wirtschaftsbündniss)! So kamen in den nächsten Jahren Bands aus Argentinein nach Balneario Camboriu, wie z.B. LOGOS; O CONNOR; URANIO 236; DEIMOS und andere. Ausserdem REQUIEM aus Uruguay, und viele brasilianische Bands von weiter weg, wie KORZUS; ORQUIDEA NEGRA und viele mehr (in den letzten Jahren haben sie es umgetauft in "Under Rock")! Ihre CD haben sie auch in Buenos Aires aufgenommen, und hier kommt ihr Sound natürlich noch ausgereifter zur Geltung! Wie gesagt, für Liebhaber progressiver Klänge ein echtes Schmankerl!

This is a very interesting band from Balneario Camboriu in the deep south of Brazil, in the province of Santa Catarina. The brothers Nyva (vocals), and Alfredo Evaristo (drums), founded the band in 1993. Their town is far away from the music centers in Brazil, and instead of being another band that comes to Sao paulo, they went to Buenos Aires! They have been there for half a year, to play and make important contacts. When they came back home they had several line up problems, and it took till 1997 to record a demo. This contains already their future trademarks: powerfull Metal, progressive parts, strong and dark voice, and some thrashy parts! When you read this, it sounds strange, but when they play it, you realize what kind of interesting mix it is! Through their contacts, they had the idea to start a little local festival, and call it "Merco Rock" (after the "Merco Sul", the economic union)! So, in the following years there came bands from Argentina to Balneario Camboriu, like LOGOS; O CONNOR; URANIO 236; DEIMOS and more. Also REQUIEM from Uruguay, and many brazilian bands from further away, like KORZUS; ORQUIDEA NEGRA and many more (in the last years they changed the name to "Under Rock")! They recorded their album in Buenos Aires, and it contains the same style, but much more mature and better recorded! For lovers of progressive sounds, this is a real little gem!

Banda muito interessante de Balneário de Camboriú no sul do Brasil (Santa Catarina). Os irmãos Nyva (v) e Alfredo Evaristo (d) formaram a banda em 1993. A cidade deles se encontra longe do centro musical do país e ao invés de serem outra banda a se mudar para São Paulo, eles foram para Buenos Aires. Eles permaneceram por lá por quase meio ano, tocando e fazendo importantes contatos. Quando voltaram a sua cidade natal tiveram diversos problemas de formação e isto acabou atrasando as gravações da demo, somente em 1997. Esta já contém algumas marcas registradas: Metal poderoso, partes progressivas, partes thrash e uma voz forte e sombria! Quando você lê isto pode parecer estranho, mas quando eles tocam isto você percebe que é uma mistura muito interessante! Através de contatos obtidos, eles tiveram a idéia de começar um festival local "Merco Rock" (depois do Mercosul, a união econômica) o qual bandas argentinas como LOGOS, O`CONNOR, URANIO 236, DEIMOS já tocaram. Além dessas, REQUIEM do Uruguai e muitas bandas brasileiras, como KORZUS, ORQUIDEA NEGRA (agora Under Rock) também já se apresentaram por lá! Eles gravaram seu álbum em Buenos Aires que contém o mesmo estilo, mas muito mais maduro e melhor gravado! Para amantes de sons avançados, este é uma pequena jóia!
