2000 Senda Negra CD

SENDA NEGRA wurde von Basser und Sänger Pablo van Lagat direkt nach seinem Weggang von INNER SANCTUM 1996 gegründet. Seine Mitstreiter waren 2 Mitglieder der Band MALDICION: Gitarrist Leandro Zipitria und Drummer Hernan Gonzalez. Sie spielten erst Grindcore, und dann Black Metal, mit Make up, Spikes und schwarzen Kapuzen. Sie waren eine der ersten Black Metal Bands im Lande. Noch im selben Jahr nahmen sie das Demo "Solo la muerte es real" mit 7 Tracks auf. Aber schon 1997 verliessen Hernan und Leandro die Band. Neu stiegen ein Marcelo Perreira an den Drumms (ex ETERNAL), und 2 Gitarristen. Mit ihnen bringt Pablo 1997 das Demo "Solo la muerte es real" noch einmal heraus, mit einigen Tracks mehr. Dieses hatte in ganz Lateinamerika eine gute Verbreitung, aber es enthält keinerlei Infos über die 2 Original Mitglieder, die bei den ersten 7 Songs mitschrieben. 2 Songs werden auch für die "Unidos en la misma" Compilation benutzt. Der Stil ist zu der Zeit technischer Thrash mit kreischenden Vocals. 1999 gibt es einen grossen Wechsel, als die 2 Gitarristen gehen und zwei sehr junge Burschen die 2 Äxte übernehmen! Der eine, Federico Zaradszky war vorher in ULTIMA HORA, der andere geht bald wieder (und sie machen mit einem Gitarristen weiter). Sie gehen nach Chile wo bei "Toxic" das Album aufgenommen wird (wie bei INNER SANCTUM), doch dann gehen die Bänder verloren!! Ende 1999 machen sie eine Akkustic Session für`s Radio, und sie merken da fehlt irgendwas und probieren Chello! Sie finden den Sound gut, und nehmen das Album nochmal auf, mit Chello!! Sie gehen nach Buenos Aires ins Studio.
Musikalisch ergibt das eine völlig andere Richtung , denn sie spielen nun düsteren doomigen Metal mit normalem Gesang. Sie spielen sehr viel Live, und heuern Gabriel Szilagyi von den Montevideo Philamonikern als festen Chello Spieler an!! Dies war ungefähr zur selben Zeit wie APOCALYPTICA (und bevor dieses Instrument in der Metal Szene richtig populär wurde), und sie schaffen damit ihren eigenen innovativen Sound! Das Chello unterstreicht ihre Musik ganz wunderbar! Diese CD müsste für aufgeschlossene Metal Fans ein Freudenfest sein. Sie spielen dannach mit ALMAFUERTE, HORCAS und BARON ROJO. Im Jahre 2001 wird als extra Bassist Luiz Ferreira eingestellt, der erst in HUMANICIDE und ANGKOR VAT (Reunion Zeit) war, und dann Sänger bei NEMESIS (auf der "Unidos en lo mismo" Compilation).
Es scheint aber, dass die Band kurz dannach auseinanderbrach, und Pablo mit einer Band Namens VARSOVIA TYRANA weitermachte!

SENDA NEGRA was founded by bass player and singer Pablo van Lagat directly after he left INNER SANCTUM in 1996. He was joined by 2 members of the band MALDICION: Leandro Zipitria on guitar, and Hernan Gonzalez on drumms. They started to play first Grindcore and then Black Metal, with make up, spikes and black hoods, beeing one of the first Black Metal band in the country. They recorded in the same year the demo "Solo la muerte es real" with 7 tracks. But in 1997 Hernan and Leandro left the band. The band was then joined by Marcelo Perreira at the drumms (ex ETERNAL), and 2 guitar players. In the same year Pablo re released the "Solo la muerte es real" demo with a few tracks more (with no credits for the 2 first members, who co wrote the first 7 songs). This demo had distribution in many parts of Latin. And 2 songs were released at the "Unidos en la misma" compilation. The style was at this time technical Thrash with squealing vocals. In 1999 was a big change, as the 2 guitarists left and two very young guys took the free jobs! One was Federico Zaradszky from ULTIMA HORA, and the second left soon (and they continue with one guitar).
They went to Chile where they recorded the album with "Toxic records" (like with INNER SANCTUM), but then the tapes got lost!! End of 1999 they made an accoustic session for the radio, and they realized something was missing and tried a Chello! They liked this sound, and recorded the album again, this time with Chello!! It was recorded in Buenos Aires. This resulted in a completely different musical direction, as they play now dark and doomy Metal with normal voice! They played a lot live, and hired Gabriel Szilagyi from the Montevideo philamonical orchestra as steady Chellist! This was almost at the same time as APOCALYPTICA, (and before this band made the instrument really popular in the Metal scene) and they create their own innovative sound! The Chello highlights their music really wonderful! This CD should be a joy for every tolerant Metal fan. They played after this with ALMAFUERTE, HORCAS and BARON ROJO. In 2001 Luiz Ferreira joined the band as bass player, who was first in the band HUMANICIDE and then singer in NEMESIS (at the "Unidos en lo mismo" compilation).
It seems the band split soon afterwards, and Pablo continued with VARSOVIA TYRANA!
